Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Lantin Chaskav in Goldstone's garrison about bounty and then Jarus Trasius.
2. Follow the Gold Road east, beyond Brina Cross and close to the border with the Kingdom of Kvatch.
3. (Optional) Speak to Foroch at the Gosha Inn about Jarus Trasius and thief with a bottle of wine (see also Bounty: Jarus Trasius (Strident Coast)).
4. Search Jarus' body at the bottom of the cliffs west of the Gold Road as it ascends to Gosha Inn.
5. Report Jarus' fate to Lantin Chaskav.

Detailed Walkthrough

The commander of Anvil's guard, Lantin Chaskav, can be found on the top floor of the garrison at Goldstone. Ask him about the bounty and Jarus Trasius topics. Apparently Jarus is wanted for larceny, with a 700 gold bounty for his capture, and 500 for his death. He was last seen on the Gold Road heading towards Kvatch. Accept the bounty and travel away from Anvil along the Gold Road.

You'll not really get any clues to Jarus' location unless you stop off at the Gosha Inn. This is on the section of the road that runs east of Brina Cross, at the top of the large hill on which Garlas Agea stands. If you speak to the publican, Foroch, here, he'll describe how Jarus stole a bottle of wine from him and vanished westwards into the night.

Look around the bottom of the cliffs west of the inn. You'll find Jarus' body lying there - taking him alive is not going to be an option. Search the body to receive a journal update, and then return to Lantin for a 500 gold reward.
