Anvil is a city in the Gold Coast region in far southwestern Cyrodiil, on the Abecean Sea west of Skingrad and Kvatch at the end of the Gold Road. The city is known for its prosperous harbor. The Redguards have had a notable influence on the local architecture, which is of a similar style to that of nearby Hammerfell.
The city is divided into two districts: the main district within the walls features most businesses, guild halls, the Chapel of Dibella, and private homes, while the harbor just outside the walls to the south features a few services and a pair of docked ships. Similar to Skingrad, Anvil Castle is outside the city walls, on an island to the south. The Countess of Anvil is Millona Umbranox, whose husband has been missing for several years. The city features a haunted manor, and serves as the starting location for the Knights of the Nine questline.
For more information about Anvil, see the lore article.

Notes[edit]
- A guaranteed magic item, the helmet Fin Gleam, can be found underwater west of Anvil (map). The helmet is near the small island west of the city. On the high ground at the northern end of the island, you will find a large rock, with a small clearing in the grass just south of it. Stand on the south side of this rock, turn due west, walk down the hill to the water, dive in, and follow the land to the bottom. You should find skeletal remains with the helmet.
- Anvil also appears in ESO.
