Chief Rethelmir is the chief of the Bosmer laborers in Russafeld. He can initially be found outside his house. He is Elsoreth's husband and Celan's father.

Jurisreeve Soravil: "I assure you, Chief, it would bring me no joy to unleash our revelators on your new home. But I'll have to, unless you let us take a look around."

Chief Rethelmir: "Fine. But just one of you—your partner. Do your work, then leave us in peace."

Jurisreeve Soravil: "One, then. I'll be sure to report your compliance to the Divine Prosecution."

Chief Rethelmir: "Like I have a choice in the matter. Come, join me for a meal. Meat's fresh enough."

Jurisreeve Soravil: "Delightful."

He appears next to his wife Elsoreth at the very end of the quest, confronting Divine Prosecution officer Venayen regarding their son Celan's whereabouts. After the conclusion of the quest and the death of his son, he and his wife leave Russafeld, and are not found in game afterwards.
