Lore:Imperial Alchemy Symposium
The Imperial Alchemy Symposium is an Imperial academic institution devoted to the research of alchemy.
The famous Altmer alchemist Sinderion discovered the recipe of a potion called the "Elixir of Exploration". This potion brought out the huge magical potential of the rare Nirnroot. He presented his findings at the Alchemical Symposium in the hopes of funding, but was turned down.[1] In 3E 433, he hired the Hero of Kvatch to collect samples of Nirnroot for him. The Hero provided enough samples to complete Sinderion's research and create the strongest version of the elixir.[2][3] Sinderion again presented his speech to the Alchemical Symposium in Rain's Hand of 4E 2.[4]
Talan was once a member of the prestigious Imperial Alchemy Symposium, but was removed from its ranks for using the skill of alchemy to perpetuate the mixing of magical and alcoholic beverages.[5]
