Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
The latest rumors in Gah Sadrith may reveal that a Nord named Mjording has been bothering passers-by about a lover of his. Mjording can be found in the market, on the west side of town. He will mention the lover as soon as you see him, a beautiful Breton woman named Melie. After considerable preamble, he will reveal that he got drunk and lost sight of her after she left to go to the market.
Lots of different individuals about the market can comment on when they last saw Melie, but the one you need to speak to to progress is the alchemist, Milar Yantus. He will comment that he suggested Melie visit his mother to buy a chitin necklace. His mother, Llernele Yantus, resides in a manor a couple of doors down from the market, and while she herself was out of town at the time, will direct you to her husband, Fernil Yantus, who has been acting very strangely indeed.
Fernil will be incredibly shifty when asked about Melie, and your journal will update saying to ask about town about him, specifically. Ask the guards first - they will direct you to the notably gossipy Redams. They have a house near the Wetstone Tavern, and will point to the eastern side of the island.
Search the eastern side of the island. In a boat, you will find a Weird Amulet. This immediately begins the quest, Gah Sadrith Inquisition, and following the events of this quest will lead you to Melie. If Melie survives the events of this quest, you can return to Mjording for your reward.

10 | I spoke with a Nord called Mjording at the market of Gah Sadrith. He told me a sad tale of how, after a night of drinking together, his fiancee Melie, a Breton scholar, had gone to buy something at the market and never returned. He asked me to help him to find out where his fiancee disappeared to and offered me a great reward.
20 | Milar Yantus at the Gah Sadrith market told me that Melie had asked him about buying a necklace, and he had pointed Melie in the direction of his mother, Llernele Yantus.
30 | Llernele Yantus told me she was in Port Telvannis on the evening of Melie's disappearance, and that nobody was at home at that time but her husband.
40 | After asking about Melie all around Gah Sadrith I finally found out the last person who spoke to her on the night she disappeared. It was a local commoner, Fernil Yantus. However Fernil Yantus denies he has ever spoken to Melie. There is something strange about this mer and his behaviour [sic]. Perhaps I should ask the local people more about him.
50 | In the depths of Yashazmus I have discovered an imprisoned Breton lady called Melie, who asked me to save her life. I should find the key to her slave bracers somewhere nearby and unlock them so that she can teleport away. She told me that if I could free her, I could talk to her fiance Mjording in Gah Sadrith for a reward.
55 | I have informed the Nordic barbarian Mjording at the Gah Sadrith market about his fiancee Melie being held captive by cultists in Yashazmus. He thanked me for finding Melie, but was surprised that I didn't manage to free her myself. He rewarded me with some gems and said he will now attempt to save her himself without my help, before it is too late.
60 | I have informed barbarian Mjording that his fiancee Melie is most probably held captive in daedric ruin of Yashazmus as prospective sacrifice to Mehrunes Dagon. He was so eager to save her that I couldn't stop him from trying to rescue her on his own. He should have left that to me alone. I hope I will manage to get to Yashazmus sooner than he does, or he may fall victim to fierce monsters and cultists in there.
65 | I have informed barbarian Mjording that his fiancee Melie is most probably held captive in daedric ruin of Yashazmus as prospective sacrifice to Mehrunes Dagon. It was not easy to calm him down and persuade him to leave the rescue to me.
70 | Unfortunately, Mjording's foolish attempt to save Melie from the cultists alone ended tragically with Mjording's death. Perhaps I should not have told that zealous barbarian where his fiancee was.
75 | Melie was overcome by her lover's death and refused to let me save her. I can do no more for this tragic couple.
80 | I have managed to save Melie - a Breton woman who was held captive in the Daedric ruins of Yashazmus. When I freed her of her cursed slave bracers, she teleported away immediately and told me to look for her and her fiance, Mjording, in Gah Sadrith.
85 | When I told Mjording about Melie's death inside the daedric ruin of Yashazmus, he broke down and blamed himself for being unable to protect her. He cast off all of his barbarian equipment and declared that he would return to his homeland.
90 | Mjording was overjoyed to meet with Melie again. As a proof of his gratitude he will reveal a location of a perfect sword to me.
95 | Mjording told me where a powerful blade can be found. I should look for Roderick's chest inside a shipwreck, which likely lies on the bottom of the sea, west of the Sadas Plantation. This chest will be probably locked and protected by a powerful trap, but Roderick apparently always kept the key for it by him. It is most likely somewhere nearby his corpse. Mjording even gave me some potions, which should help me to recover the sword. He and Melie will leave Morrowind soon.
100 | Somehow Melie discovered it was I who killed Mjording. She is very upset and refuses to speak with me. |
