Doesn't Load[edit]
I have discovered a bug, after completing the Lost Legacy quest, when attempting to leave the tomb via the main entrance, the loading screen continues on and on and on and does not bring you back to Skyrim (Solstheim). Prerequisite[edit]
I have spoken to Tharstan numerous times since completing Fate of the Skaal and he hasn't mentioned this quest. I recently completed A New Source of Stalhrim and was approached by him almost immediately afterwards. Despite the logic I would otherwise associate to the QuestIDs, and without the direct knowledge of the Creation Kit, I think therefore A New Source of Stalhrim is the prerequisite quest to this. --Enodoc (talk) 22:10, 28 December 2012 (GMT)

Barred Doors[edit]
There are two barred wooden door rooms in the middle sections of the runic bridge areas.
Barred door 1: After the first runic bridge, in the hallway to the left, by some brial urns.
Barred door 2: In the hallway to the right in the section prior to the last runic bridge, there is a skeleton, a soul gem, and a barred door.
Both barred doors show a room on the map.
Has anyone found a way to access entry into this room beyond the barred door? 99.59.167.14 18:46, 1 January 2013 (GMT)
- They are routes back up if you fall off a bridge into the water. Two gated passageways open up from the lower level when you activate the corresponding bridge handle. --Enodoc (talk) 19:28, 3 January 2013 (GMT)
How does one 'drag' an object?[edit]
I cannot find a mapped button nor any help for moving objects on a PC.

- To drag an object (or body), you have to hover your crosshair over it, and hold E for a few seconds. You should then be able to move it around. See here for a better explanation. (:--Skyrimplayer (talk) 16:39, 9 February 2013 (GMT)
Pathing glitch[edit]
I added the glitch about Tharstan not being able to leave the right Boss room. Talking didn't budge him; neither did reloading. I found a similar glitch with Master Neloth at Nchardak. Unless you place him precisely in front of the door, the script to open it never fires. I had to drag him back and forth, which can be difficult with followers. Dragon Claw door bug?[edit]
I tried the "code" what Tharstan(sp) suggests and it did not work, so I had to systematically try all possible vombinations, and the door finally opened with the 3 dragons combination. Is this a bug? 85.90.168.184 10:30, 5 March 2013 (GMT)
Killing off Corrupted shades[edit]
One way to improve your odds against the corrupted shades is to use Fire Breath shout before attempting either crossings especially if you have the Dragonborn Flame from completing http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Dragonborn:Black_Book:_Epistolary_Acumen_(book)

Reward - Leveled gold[edit]
I don't think it's a leveled amount of gold, because script for stage 200 of the quest says:
Game.GetPlayer().AddItem(Gold001, 1000)

word walls[edit]

Dragon claw door rings[edit]
At the dragon claw door I can't get the rings to move they stay on the original three dragon symbols. I can place the claw into the key hole but that's it. Don't know how to fix it so now the quest is unfinished for me. Bugs[edit]
These bugs were both on the article, and none of them has been verified. I played through the quest five times without experiencing any of them, so here they are:
- Tharstan may become stuck after fighting the boss in the room to the right.
- You may find after exploring the main chamber that your follower has become trapped in the cage in the middle of the room.

- I encountered a new bug: when crossing a bridge, at the end the bridge should permanently appear. In my case, one tile of the second magical bridge in the corrupted shades bath did not appear after crossing the bridge. After investigating I found out the bridge piece actually was there, but was invisible. Here's a screenshot [1] 87.208.40.54 09:13, 21 January 2014 (GMT)
Bug with Magical Bridge[edit]
I crossed the first magical bridge (the "to idle is to die" one) but the linear bridge for Tharstan to cross didn't appear upon my arrival at the opposide side, and thus prevented me from finishing the quest. - I just ran into this problem today on my PS4. I did a bit of research and the only advice I saw was to leave the tomb and reenter, which I now know is bull5#!+ because I've tried it several times and it's still broken.
- Seems like old bugs are coming back, like this one, Shearpoint only giving one word instead of all three, and a few others.
