Official Description

The Archbard, Sledrig, and an entourage of teachers and students have returned to Skyrim and are ready to impart their knowledge.

  • 5th Major Faction Storyline - Bards College storyline has been greatly expanded to match the scale and intrigue of the other faction questlines in Skyrim.
  • Play Music - Play instruments on the move and use them to earn gold playing for an audience, or to inspire your allies in combat.
  • Expanded Shout System - In addition to new Shouts, Shouts can be upgraded by capturing them in Resonant Crystals, and a new weapon type allows for stringing together multiple Shouts into a Chant.
  • Ballads of Your Accomplishments - Spread your reputation throughout the province with song. After completing certain major questlines in Skyrim, work with Olvus to craft a song about your exploits and hear them sung in the town squares of major cities.
  • Duel With Your Wits - Learn insults and retorts to battle other Bards in games of wordplay that can earn you coin and prestige.
  • Become an Emissary - Use your words to inspire, coerce, and intimidate people into doing your bidding, and help the Bards College become a political force.

As you engage more with the mechanics and story - additional depth, options, and rewards will be revealed.

All of the content is professionally voice-acted and is designed to work seamlessly with the base game, DLCs, and many other community mods!

Notes

  • The "Duel of Wit" feature is inspired by the insult duels from the classic point-and-click adventure game, The Secret of Monkey Island.

Bugs

  • Sometimes, when attempting to load a save that relies on this creation, you will get a notification claiming that the expansion is not downloaded and prompting you to reinstall it. This occurs even if you have the creation installed. Whether you choose to 'download' Bards College Expansion or not, when you load your save your character will keep drawing their weapon automatically even if you attempt to sheathe it. Your character may also be transported to random locations with all of their equipment removed while they suffer from this bug. There is no known fix for this problem. ?
