Walkthrough[edit]

Secunda's Kiss

Two giants occupy the camp, which features an unlocked chest and two mammoth cheese bowls by a campfire with a charred skeever cooking on a spit. Eight tundra cotton and three lavender plants grow among the painted stones around the camp. Two iron ore veins are on the mountainside above the camp to the east. Although it is north of the mountains that separate Whiterun Hold from Falkreath, it is considered part of Falkreath Hold (see notes).

Notes[edit]

  • Whiterun guards may tell you about this camp in passing dialogue: "The circle of stones to the southwest? That's Secunda's Kiss. The Giants hold it sacred, so tread carefully."
  • You can take advantage of a collision bug which prevents the giants from scaling the inclined path to the east. By standing on the cliffs near the iron ore veins and aiming down into the camp, it is possible to snipe and kill both giants while remaining out of their reach. The giants will sometimes clip into the landscape mesh, but arrows will still be able to reach them; however, if this occurs, you will be unable to obtain any loot from the giants if they do not roll back down the hill upon death.
  • Secunda's Kiss is one of the most common locations for bounty quests given in Falkreath.
    • Version 2.0.0 of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch modifies this location to be part of Whiterun Hold instead of Falkreath Hold.

Bugs[edit]

  • The local map refers to this location as "Secunda's Shelf".
    • PC Only The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 2.0.0, addresses this issue. The local map will refer to it as "Secunda's Kiss" to correct the mismatch.
