Enchanting description: Unarmed strikes do <mag> additional damage.
Enchanting[edit]
Unarmed Damage is a "quasi-skill": In some respects it functions as a skill, but not in others. See details here.
The Gloves of the Pugilist use this effect, as well as a few Creation Club gauntlets/bracers. You can learn how to enchant custom items with Fortify Unarmed Damage if you find them and disenchant it.
Notes[edit]
- Fortify Unarmed Damage is the only damage-dealing enchantment that can be applied to apparel.
- This damage type is the only enchantment that gets a bonus when performing sneak attacks. However, there are no perk modifiers (such as for archery or one-handed weapons), and the Dark Brotherhood gloves and hand wraps do not increase sneak attack damage done (if you happen to wear a ring with fortified unarmed damage). It gets a flat x2 modifier for sneak attacks done with the enchantment damage.
- If you abuse the Fortify Restoration glitch to make overpowered items, it is possible to make a ring or gauntlet/glove/bracer with enough unarmed damage to kill pretty much anything or anyone with a single punch. However, at the same time, it is not possible to drink a Fortify Restoration potion and boost damage done with apparel with the enchantment. This means that you need to make the enchantment powerful through the Enchanting skill itself, plus any Fortify Enchanting potions consumed just before enchanting to boost the effect permanently.
Bugs[edit]
- The effects of the percentage version of this enchantment do not seem to apply to the player ?
