Vars Tharnil

Vars Tharnil is a large Direnni ruin located underneath the Reachman village of Merduibh. All that remains of the once-grand Direnni structure is its subterranean portions, accessible through an inconspicuous door found on the northeastern slope of a small hill northeast of the village. Through this door you will find the Emerald Council. This section of the ruin is mostly devoid of threats, with the exception of two dremora kynreeve. Luckily, these dremora, though in the same room, are on opposite sides of a wall, allowing you to dispatch one before moving onto the next.

There are two ways forward from here: a door leading to the Starflight Halls and another leading to the Simleth Caverns. The door leading to the Starflight Halls leads to a large, open chamber where an ogrim titan and two scamps are waiting for you. A room where Druadith, the Sun Mother, resides overlooks this room, but there is no way to reach it from this room. A Direnni right pauldron and Direnni helmet be found on shelves in this room. Additionally, there is a a magus console located here, though interacting with it doesn't seem to have any effect.

The door leading to the Simleth Caverns instead leads to a linear, cavernous section of the ruins. A clannfear, a daedroth, and three spikeworms can be found lurking here, all in separate sections of the cave. At the end of the cave you'll find and door leading to the Starflight Halls. This connects to the room overlooking the room where the ogrim and scamps can be found, where Druabith can be found. Just right of the door after entering, on a ledge running along the wall, can be found the key to Vars Tharnil while a Direnni mortar and pestle and Direnni alembic can be found in the room next to a pile of hay.
