The lost research notes

Quick Walkthrough

1. Talk to Davanna Evamain in her house near the south gate of Karthwasten to receive Davanna's Scroll of Dispel.
2. Head outside and talk to her again.
3. She'll cast the spell and lead you out the north gate of Karthwasten.
4. When she stops, use the scroll on her.
5. Find Davanna's Research nearby, west of the road and give them to her.
6. Return to her home to get your reward.

Detailed Walkthrough

Meeting Davanna

Talk to Davanna Evamain in Karthwasten, her house can be found close to the Southern city gate. She'll tell you about some research that she is going but the last time she was researching she put herself in some kind of trance and in her trance she hid her research notes. Her plan is to put herself in a trance again and you need to stick close by to see what happens while she is in her trance and dispel her, which she'll give you a scroll for, once the destination is reached.

Sleepwalking

Go outside and talk to Davanna again, she'll cast her spell and you need to follow her. She'll lead you through the northern city gate and keeps going for a little while. Once Davanna stops, somewhat past the stables, you need to dispel her, either with the scroll she gave you or a spell you know. Talk to her and she asks you to find her notes, which are located behind the wall just west of where Davanna stopped, give them back to Davanna and she'll tell you to meet her at her house after which she uses a recall spell.

Back to Davanna

Go back to Davanna Evamain's house and telk to her, she'll give you 145 Gold and a choice between Davanna's Notes on Alteration, Davanna's Notes on Conjuration, Davanna's Notes on Destruction,Davanna's Notes on Illusion, Davanna's Notes on Mysticism or Davanna's Notes on Restoration.

20	Finishes quest	Davanna Evamain proposed that I follow her after she casts the spell on herself again. She hopes that I will be able to follow her to the stash.
30		I agreed to help Davanna Evamain attempt to discover where she hid her belongings. When we reach her hiding spot, I am expected to dispel her condition.
40		I followed Davanna Evamain to a location just outside of Karthwasten.
50		I returned Davanna Evamain's notes to her. She asked me to stop by her home.
60	Finishes quest	As a reward for helping her find her notes, Davanna Evamain shared some of her research with me.
70	Finishes quest	Davanna Evamain has died. I won't be able to complete her task to discover where she hid her notes.
