Varnag is a vicious nix-hound found southeast of Ebonheart.
He lives in a tiny cave created by two fallen rocks, which he decorates with bones and the corpses of a pack of disemboweled guar. Examining the corpses of one of his kills grants the following clue, which tells you he's nearby:
- <This guar's body was ripped open, and it's partially devoured. The beast that killed it might be nearby.>
Shaali Kulun will both provide Varnag's related quest and tell you a little about him. The beast attacked her caravan and savaged her leg before dragging off their guar. As for her origin, Shaali only has speculation. "Our best guess is he escaped from a Goblin tribe... or ate them."
When killed, Varnag drops the quest item Varnag's Head, used to collect a reward from Shaali.
