When you reach Close Rapport with Zerith-var, he will approach you after receiving a letter from High Cantor Viti asking to meet with him, and you near Pa'alat. Due to their past interactions, he is suspicious of the request. On the advice of Cantor Krin'ze, you go to the town and ask the locals about what they have seen recently, before going to the meeting spot.
Uzernji is one of the people you can approach:
- "Ehh. If you're here about the altercation, I did not see a thing."
- What altercation might you be referring to?
- "The Twilight Cantor. She yelled at the courier that followed her.
Maybe not a courier. Who can say? But she was very angry! Made quite a scene. He gave her a message and she barely glanced at it before she tore into that poor cat." - What was she angry about?
If you are speaking to Uzernji after first speaking to Felaga and Dalzzo, you will get the following dialog, and he will then hand you the Summons of the Inquisition which you can read.
- What was she angry about?
- "As it happens, she dropped the message the courier gave her. Seems like the cantor ran afoul of the Inquisition. Which explains her anger. The Inquisition has methods that will make your tail hairs bristle."
- "See for yourself. Just leave me out of it."
Otherwise, you'll get the message from whichever of the three you speak to last, and if he wasn't last to speak with, he will say:
- "I knew you were going to ask that.
I heard them arguing, but did not understand a word of it. You want my advice? Walk away and keep your business in your own sand."
Either way, if you speak to Uzernji again, he will just say:
- "Unless you can spare some coin, I think we have nothing more to discuss."
