While you're investigating for clues, you can find him guarding the gates:

"No invitation, no admittance."

You can meet with Fennorian outside the vineyards, who explains he found an unusual invitation to a wine auction on a dangerous vampire. As vampires do not normally drink wine, he felt that he had to investigate. After learning about the new grape breed Lord Gallio Valente has created, you and Fennorian will head over to the auction. He will pretend to be the vampire he took the invitation from, with you as his guest.

Sentry Helvius will be guarding the entrance to the auction and will ask to see the invitation:

Sentry Helvius: "Halt. Your invitation, please."

<Fennorian walks up to him and hands over the invitation.>

Fennorian: "Right. Here you are."

Sentry Helvius: "Welcome Master Bogvir. And guest. I'll escort you to Lord Valente. This way."

Fennorian: "Totally unnecessary. I'll find him. Thanks!"

<Fennorian heads into the auction.>

You can speak with Sentry Helvius before you enter:

"That's Master Bogvir? Not what I expected.
