Speaking to him to start the quest:

"Be on guard if you're headed up to the castle. King Fahara'jad's army is camped outside the walls.
They claim they're here in a diplomatic capacity, but I'm not buying it."

Why do you think they're really here?

"When a king sends his army somewhere, I think his intentions are pretty clear. Always knew the Covenant was a bad idea.
Apparently, King Fahara'jad think's we're stupid too if he expects us to welcome his soldiers into the castle."

So you think this is an invasion?

"What I think doesn't matter. I'm just following orders, and right now those orders are to be ready.

After the Alcaire Castle objective is complete:

"I hear they decided to let the Redguard envoy in to speak with the Duke.
I guess there's a chance this thing won't turn into a full-blown battle."
