Quest-Related Events

When you approach her, Tanelwen will be in the middle of accusing her suspects. Speaking to Maya:

"You lay yet more burdens on an already burdened brow? I stole no pies. Now off with you, before I cast you into the dungeon!"

After speaking to Tanelwen, you can ask:

Who stole Investigator Vale's pie?

"Pie? Ugh. I can't trouble myself with such trifling matters. I have a kingdom to look after, and a churlish child to wrangle.
I stole no pies. It was clearly the pirate over there. I have no idea how. I never saw the scoundrel leave."

If you never saw the pirate leave, how can you be so sure?

"What? You want me to believe that Investigator Vale got this wrong? Ha! Preposterous!
The pirate's to blame. Just look at all these crumbs! Only a sloppy mariner would make such a mess."

Crumbs?

"Yes! Look, they're everywhere! Leading off into the bushes it seems.
Why that scallywag stole off into the bushes, I don't know. But you can't expect a weary sovereign to understand the mind of a criminal."

After you uncover Tanelwen's true identity, Maya and Hunrand are left puzzled:

Maya Doran: "Does that mean we aren't in trouble?"

Hunrand: "I don't know. But now I'm hungry!"

Speak to her and she'll say:

"Investigator Vale was wrong. So that means … oh, thank the Eight! I couldn't take another minute of being a mopey king! Bless you, my friend! Bless you!"

After the quest, she'll say:

"Once again, thank you.
I don't know if Hunrand will ever recover from having his life as a pirate queen snatched away from him, but I'm much happier now!"
