Dialogue[edit]
As you approach, he'll say:
- Glenormir: "You there! Your life or your jewels …. Uh, give me your coin and you won't get the pointy end—no."
When spoken to, he continues:
- "Ah! Uh, hand over your poky end. No, give me your purse or I'll halt.
Your gold. Can I have it. Please?" - Please?
- "Erm- yes. You have the gold and I have the knife. So if you wouldn't mind just, uh, handing it over then we can both go our separate ways. And I won't have to stab you in any of your bits. That sounds very nice now doesn't it?"
- Is this your first time threatening someone?
- "Is it that obvious?
Well, it doesn't matter, I'm the one who's armed here. So … give me your jewels." - Why do you need my jewels?
- "My captain marooned me here. Said I couldn't return to the ship until I proved that I could earn my keep. So here I am. Uh, earning—trying to earn …..
Will you please just hand me your valuables?" - Yes. I hope it's enough to get you back on your ship. [Leveled ]
- "Wait— really?
Hah! I did it. Thank you so much. Now I can plunder and pillage. I can raze the coastline and scrape barnacles off the hull. My captain will let me back aboard. I can be a real pirate!"
- "Wait— really?
- No. And I doubt you'll be able to take them from me.
- "Is that a threat? Because it's very convincing. You're not going to punch me, are you?
You know what? How about I just leave you alone? Yes, I'll just go off this way and you can leave me alone? That sounds good. Let's do that."
- "Is that a threat? Because it's very convincing. You're not going to punch me, are you?
- "My captain marooned me here. Said I couldn't return to the ship until I proved that I could earn my keep. So here I am. Uh, earning—trying to earn …..
- Can I offer you some tips?
- "You'd do that? You'd help me out? Yes! I mean, sure if you think you can.
How was that?" - [Intimidate] Try this. Give me your money or I'll tear your toes off one by one.
- "My—my toes? No, you can't have them.
I'm just going to … leave. Yes. You can have this spot and I'll go back to my ship and beg my captain for my place back. There's more to being a pirate than this."
- "My—my toes? No, you can't have them.
- Pretty good, but you can do better.
- "Better? Like more aggressive? I'm not an aggressive person. Hmm.
Halt. Give me your jewels or I'll kick you in them!" - It's getting there. Now just be creative.
- "Creative? Threatening people into giving up their gold is harder than I thought. All right.
Give me all you own or I'll cut you into tiny pieces with my tiny knife and feed you to the fish as an appetizer." - Yes, that should do it.
- "Creative? Threatening people into giving up their gold is harder than I thought. All right.
- Close, but you have to make me believe you.
- "How's this?
Hand over your coins right this second. I mean it!" - Yes, that should do it.
- "How's this?
- "Better? Like more aggressive? I'm not an aggressive person. Hmm.
- "You'd do that? You'd help me out? Yes! I mean, sure if you think you can.
If you give him gold, he will run off happily:
- Glenormir: "Captain. Captain look! I'm tough!"
If you gave him Intimidating advice or told him he wouldn't be able to take your gold, he will simply leave, saying:
- Glenormir: "Goodbye. Sorry for bothering you. Uh, please don't follow me."
If you give him a tip on threatening people, then runs off, saying:
- Glenormir: "You think so? All right, I'm off to find someone to use this on. Thanks for your help!"
