Dialogue[edit]
Initial dialogue:
- "Welcome to the Gonfalon Gaming Hall! We got drinks, food, and lots of good times. Especially if you order a lot of drinks.
Funny how that works."
After your first match with Brahgas, you can ask her further questions:
- I have some questions if you don't mind.
- "Sure. Talking's is a big part of the job, after all. The part that doesn't pay anything.
What do you want to know?" - Have any advice on how to improve my game?
- "Yeah. Read up. We keep an official Roister's Club rules guide right there on the bar. Have a look any time you like.
Oh, and try not to spill your ale on it. Damn sea-legged locals don't appreciate a good leather-bound book."
- "Yeah. Read up. We keep an official Roister's Club rules guide right there on the bar. Have a look any time you like.
- Do you play Tales of Tribute? / Do you play Tribute as well?
- "Eh. I dabble.
I like to think of myself as more of an observer. I love the game, its rules, the art—all of that. But I just don't have the time to play it. Too busy taking care of the hall. This place'd be a dump without me!"
- "Eh. I dabble.
- Can you tell me anything about the Gonfalon Chapter members?
- "Well, there's Brahgas. Kid's got a good heart but keeps his purse-strings looser than an ogre's trousers. Heard he's been betting on Tribute matches recently. Lots of coin changing hands.
Lad's going to end up in a cell or a ditch if he keeps it up."- Anyone else?
- "There's Sorinne. Energetic girl. Used to be caught up in a worse mess than Brahgas. Set her life right, though. Now she's just addicted to playing Tribute. And being cheeful. Hmph.
Kishka—that Khajiit in the next room—is another member."- Kishka?
- "Yeah, Kishka's our broker. Takes care of the chapter's daily challenges with her brother, Marunji. Damn good Tribute player too, but she never leaves her spot. Too busy being…well, being Kishka. She's one of a kind.
Then, there's Razhamad."- What can you tell me about Razhamad?
- "He's a former Tribute champion and the leader of our chapter. He keeps us all out of trouble…as best as he can. Without him this place wouldn't exist.
He's one of the only tuskless people I trust. A good man, through and through."
Quest Dialogue[edit]
The Tournament Begins[edit]
After you defeated the Wayrest Chapter at Tribute, you will return to the Gonfalon Bay Gaming Hall to celebrate with your friends. Gelekh will be telling Sorinne to stop dancing on the bar:
- Gelekh: "Sorinne, how many times have I told you not to dance behind or on the bar? How many times?"
- Sorinne Gaerard: "Ha! This is a victory dance, Gelekh! For victorious feet, there are no rules!"
- Brahgas: "Isn't that the truth! Hey, our friend is back. Come, join us!"
Speaking to her before Brahgas:
- "Guess I can't complain, seeing everyone so damn happy. I just wish Sorinne would celebrate over there. Away from my bar, and off the tables."
After the quest, you will reach mid-tier for Tribute:
- "So, you all made into the mid-tier, eh? Guess that means I can start charging more for all this ale and tack!"
Challenges of the Past[edit]
After speaking to Master Razhamad and seeking out answers of what's bothering Sorinne. Brahgas will annoy Gelekh with the question if the Gonfalon Chapter will end up facing the Mournhold Chapter:
- Brahgas: "So, just statistically speaking, what are the odds that we have to play the Mournhold Chapter next? They're low…right?"
- Gelekh: "How's this for odds? There is a one-hundred percent chance that if you ask me again, I'm gonna break your legs."
Speaking to her, she feels she can't get her job done without everyone complaining about their problems to her:
- "Between Sorinne moping around and Brahgas chewing my ear off, I can't get a damn thing done.
Everyone pours out their troubles to the barkeep when what they really need is a partner. Or a priest. Or a dog."
After beating the Elden Root Chapter in the Intermediate Tournament, you head back to the gaming hall, which Gelekh welcomes you back:
- Gelekh: "Look who's back! Didn't take too long, did it?"
Speaking to her before Razhamad:
- "You're the first one to come back. Razhamad's waiting for you, fretting like a mother echatere.
Personally, I knew you'd make short work of those Elden Root runts. Don't tell Brahgas I said that, though."
After the quest:
- "Advanced rank now, eh? You've come a long way since you first showed up. Must be earning heaps of gold!
Don't forget to drop a few of those shiny coins in old Gelekh's purse. The drinks are swill, sure, but it's the company you're paying for!"
The Final Round[edit]
When you reached veteran rank in Tribute, you can start the quest by speaking to her in the major cities in Tamriel. She will tell you to speak to Razhamad about the final tournament:
- "Oh, hey. Fancy meeting you here.
I was on a supply run, but Razhamad told me to keep an eye out for you. Looks like the final tournament's about to start." - The final Tales of Tribute tournament?
- "No, the final frog racing tournament. Yes, of course the Tales of Tribute tournament!
Everyone's gathering back at the gaming hall in Gonfalon Bay. You should high-tail it back there and check in with Razhamad." - All right, I'll go talk to Razhamad in Gonfalon Bay.
Speaking to her again:
- "What are you still doing here? You want to carry my groceries?
Get back to Gonfalon Bay!"
Once back at the gaming hall. She will join in a toast to you for winning the championship:
- Sorinne Gaerard: "Three cheers for our very own Tribute Champion! Three cheers, I say!"
- Gelekh: "The hero of Gonfalon Chapter! Cheers!"
- Brahgas: "Aye! Cheers to the best of us!"
- Kishka the Broker: "Ziss'vo! Would you all quiet down? Kishka has work to do, yes? But yes, cheers to you, walker."
Speaking to her, which she is grateful that she remains under the employment of Razhamad and that you can dance on the bar:
- "Nice work out there. I hear you saved that runty Brahgas. More importantly, you saved my job! Mauloch know Teliv wouldn't kept an Orc on the payroll.
Let' get you a drink. And don't tell Sorinne, but just this once you can dance on the bar."
Location Clue[edit]
Each of the Founders has gone into seclusion, so they must be tracked down from some hint or rumor that can be gotten after The Final Round has been completed. For Linyia and Nhorhim, they're from Gelekh.
- "Hard to believe, but I finally got some help around here--and you'll never guess from who. Brahgas!
The little scoundrel finally decided to work for a living. I don't want to scare him off honest work, but I'm not going to go easy on him either!" - Gelekh, you talk to a lot of people. Have any of the Roister's Club Founders visited the hall?
- "Founders? You may have noticed we don't serve a lot of elite clientele here. If a Founder came rambling through, I think they'd stick out like a broken tusk.
I do hear rumors now and then, though." - What have you heard?
- "An Imperial swung through a few weeks back. One of those sandy types who like digging for old teacups and such. He told me about a card-playing scholar he met in Craglorn--weird lady rooting around in ruins for ancient games.
Might be worth a look." - Have you heard any other rumors?
- "Oh sure. Heard one about the Duchess that'll knock you flat on your--oh, you mean about more Founders.
Some Nord told me about a blind Tribute player in Eastmarch. Said he tried to cheat, but the guy knew somehow. Witchcraft, I wager. Be careful."
