Type Murkmire Achievements
Points 5
A Scuttle Bloom
Harvest a Scuttle Bloom and disarm a Gas Blossom, Static Pitcher, Catapult Cabbage, and Lantern Mantis.

Fiendish Flora is awarded for careful handling of various hostile or reclusive plants that grow in certain DLC zones, such as Mirkmire and West Weald. Scuttle Blooms hide when you approach, while the others attack in a variety of ways (these attacks are not particularly dangerous by themselves, though they may become problematic when there are hostile enemies nearby). The proper way of handling all of these plants is to sneak up on them and activate them as soon as you are close enough. If they are alerted to your presence, they will quickly hide or attack and you will not be able to activate them again for a short time. While sneaking, there will be a visible yellow glow around these plants, which helps to locate them.

Notes[edit]

  • This achievement was originally known as Fiendish Fauna, but this error was quickly corrected in the first patch following Murkmire's release.[verification needed — On PC/Mac at least - consoles need confirmation]
