Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
A supply problem[edit]
On the outskirts of Dragon Bridge, you come across Lieutenant Korleva who greets you and asks you if you've seen a caravan on your travels. Said caravan was supposed to reach Dragon Bridge with supplies for the garrison, but has not arrived yet.
Upon further inquiry, the Lieutenant will explain that it's the third time this month this has happened, and that they usually find the caravans stripped clean of supplies and abandoned by its caravaneers. If you ask her if she has any idea what is happening to the caravans, she will direct you to Captain Hingrid, who is further down the road keeping watch.
You find the Captain on the road south of Dragon Bridge, examining the corpse of a soldier she sent out to try and find the caravan. Once you offer to help, she will tell you that they haven't heard from Solitude in a while and that they are relying on an agent in order to acquire supplies from other sources. These are the caravans that never arrive and later turn up ransacked and abandoned.
Missing caravans[edit]
Your next task is to find the missing caravan and then meet up with the Captain, while she checks in with this "agent" (or smuggler) mentioned earlier, Ena.
You will find the caravan remains now far south from where you met the Captain. Examining the wreckage, you find an Owl Feather Arrow, crafted with feathers from a Druadach Mountain snow owl, and Markarth Mead from the Markarth Meadery inside an unmarked crate.
Go meet the Captain at the overlook. You will find her checking a still-warm but extinguished fire at a bare-bones, abandoned camp. When you tell her of your findings, Captain Hingrid will be most worried about the arrow — only the Reachmen use Druadach snow owl feathers in theirs, and as she says, it is not usual for them to trek this far north.
The Captain then explains that the entire overlook is Ena's domain, and that she always keeps little outposts. You are now to search the outlook for signs of where she might have gone. At one of the ruined camps, you find a letter addressed to an Ulang that explains she's done business with the Reachmen, and they turned on her at the last moment. The letter also states Ena is headed upriver, to the camp by the waterfall, and tells this Ulang to be careful, as she is worried that the Reachmen have their eyes set on Dragon Bridge.
Rescue Ena White-Eye[edit]
Once you bring this information to the Captain, she sends you to this waterfall camp to search for Ena. When you reach the camp, you find it overrun with Reachmen. Take care of stragglers and free Ena, who is tied up inside a tent. She will tell you that she gave sensitive information to the Reachmen about smuggling tunnels leading to the bridge's foundations, or else they would kill Ulang who they are holding captive.
The plan[edit]
The Reachmen's plans for these caverns is to blow them up and collapse them using their leader, Warlord Vund's, alchemical prowess. You go warn the Captain, who is surprised at the existence of the tunnels, but before she can elaborate on a plan, Ena comes running exclaiming something is wrong.
You talk to Ena and she tells you that the Reachmen are not only planning to collapse the bridge of Dragon bridge, but are also going to attack the garrison by ambushing from the caverns surrounding it. Your next task is to search for materials to make your own little explosions at the smuggler caves entrances in order to prevent the Reachmen from using them.
After gathering the kindlepitch and fire salts, you need to head to each of the smuggler bolt holes and throw the explosives inside in order to collapse them. After that is done, enter the caves from the main entrance behind the waterfall.
Deal with the Reachmen[edit]
Inside the caves, you will find Ulang who is unharmed save for one of his arms, and needs only be released from his bounds. Further inside you will find a larger cavern that houses three charges of explosives. Disable all three and deal with Warlord Vund, who confronts you. Now Dragon Bridge is safe! Return to Captain Hingrid to give your report.
Leave the cave from where you entered to find Captain Hingrid and Lieutenant Korleva counting corpses of the Reach warriors who left the cave while you were working inside. Ena and Ulang are also nearby. Talk to the Captain to receive your thanks and your reward.
