Quest-Related Events

He will be having a conversation with his assistant Sifmir on the porch of the Overseer's house. When you approach him:

"Be welcome friend."

When speaking to him:

"Another traveler wanders in. But you don't look like a bard."

If you have already received the quest from Frirvid Coldstone‎, he will welcome you to the party and he mentions that the cooks need help to decide what to cook when you offered to help out:

I heard the royal work crew needs a break.

"You've got that right! We work hard and relax harder. You're welcome to join us.
A bard wandered into camp right before you, so we'll have music as well as mead!"

Anything I can do to help?

You can ask about the food choices:

"The cooks, Kalogar and Heggvir, are arguing over what to serve for the party. They're up near the main hall. Kalogar favors steaks. Heggvir wants to make goat stew.
They want me to choose, but I hate to pick favorites. You decide."

Is the goat stew tasty?

"Goat stew is delicious, full of meat, potatoes, and not too many vegetables.
Heggvir is a pretty good cook. She'll probably need your help getting some of the ingredients for her stew, though."

Do you like steak?

"Of course I like steak. I'm Nord, aren't I?
That's all Kalogar really knows how to cook. Bear steaks, usually. He'll probably need your help getting the meat."

If you haven't already received the quest from Frirvid Coldstone‎, he will introduce you to the celebration:

What is this place?

"Welcome to Cragwallow! The Skald-King's royal road workers live here during repair season. Have you used any of the flat, smooth roads in Eastmarch? That's our work.
We've been working hard and now it's time to celebrate. You should join us!"

A celebration? That sounds like fun.

"Hmm, maybe you can help me out. The cooks, Kalogar and Heggvir are arguing over what to serve. They want me to choose, but I hate to pick favorites.
Kalogar wants to serve steaks, Heggvir says goat stew. You can pick."

I'll go and talk to the cooks.

"We just need to make sure we have plenty of good food and we're all set.
Funny that two visitors wandered in today. You and that bard. At least the party will have proper music this time!"

You can ask then him, with slightly different results to the other path:

After choosing a cook to help with their cooking:

"I love a good party!"

After completing the task with the cooks, you retrieve some mead for him. He will be found in the Mead Hall and he will ask you to request the bard to play a song:

"Looks like you've been busy!"

Here's some more mead for the party.

"Thanks for all your help. Now relax and have some fun. The party's already started!
You know, we could use some music, though."

I thought there was a bard here.

"Oh, there is. He's the one not dressed like a royal worker.
He's upstairs, last I checked. Why don't you go up and ask him to play us a song?"

At this point, you can ask for more general info about Cragwallow:

Do you throw these celebrations often?

"As often as we can! The Skald-King himself sends the mead to us on a regular basis. Likes to keep his workers happy.
Good man, King Jorunn. Shor bless him."

Are there other camps like Cragwallow?

"Here and there. These camps are well built and well maintained. Great places to rest when the weather turns ugly."

Berj later dies during the riekling attack.
