Key Doesn't Open Cabinet[edit]
I have a question -- Gundalas' Key does not seem to open the cabinet in his store that 'needs a key.' Someone else is having this problem too, I saw it in a forum. If his store's cabinet is glitched, could we include it here, or in some note on Best Goods and Guarantees? — Unsigned comment by 70.95.226.180 (talk) at 06:45 on 3 July 2007
- It's not a glitch. As I've told countless other people on other merchant pages, all merchants have merchant chests that claim to need a key, but in fact no key exists. It's done intentionally so that thieves can't just steal every available item in the game, but actually have to occasionally pay in order to obtain items. --NepheleTalk 02:55, 3 July 2007 (EDT)
Where?[edit]
I have gone to his shop and no 1 is ever there and when im in first person facing the door the crosshair icon is red. k maybe i wasnt clear enough....I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! — Unsigned comment by 69.67.229.194 (talk) at 17:57 on 23 August 2007
- I'll assume you're going there during the day; most shops are locked at night. If you're there during what I'd term "normal business hours", and he's not there, then I'm afraid you've got a bigger issue--perhaps a mod conflict? DisplacedAvenger 16:00, 23 August 2007 (EDT)
Hmmmmm?[edit]
Am I the only one here who thinks Gundalas looks strangely like a vampire? It's obvious he's not, but the sunken in cheekbones and gray skin kind of makes him look like one. Aldage 00:31, 8 October 2007 (EDT)
Gundalas Won't Sell House Upgrades[edit]
I just bought the Leyawiin house and went to Gundalas to purchase upgrades, but I can't find that as an option in any of his dialogue. He has the normal options: "rumors", "Leyawiin", "Rosentia" (whatever her name is), and one more, but in none of that dialogue does he ask if I need house upgrades. It doesn't appear to be in his sale inventory either. Any suggestions? — Unsigned comment by 96.58.218.152 (talk) at 04:00 on 30 November 2013
- Well, there isn't any unique dialogue for buying house upgrades, so that explains why you do not see any options regarding it. I wish I could answer the question as to why the upgrades are not in his merchant's inventory as easily though. I would check to make sure that you finalized your deal in buying the house from Count Marius Caro first. After you buy the house, the upgrades should appear in Gundalas' inventory. However, you may want to visit your newly purchased house first and then visit Gundalas, as perhaps then they will appear in his inventory after you receive the quest update from entering the house. If you have an older save file, you could load it and try to purchase the house and house upgrades again. Other than that, the only other thing I can think of that might help you is to make sure that you are bartering with Gundalas and not his co-proprietor, Elsynia, as she does not sell the upgrades. - For some reason the option did not show up in the inventory, but when I restarted the game it was there. Maybe I was having a blonde moment and missed it the first time, but it could have been a glitch. Thanks for the help! --Éowyn — Unsigned comment by 96.58.218.152 (talk) at 17:49 on 30 November 2013
