Secret Treasure Vault[edit]
In this artical it says that there is a secret treasure vault have I already found it or am i missing somthing?
- Well have you whet into he basement and fought the necromancer lich yet? Western3589 19:23, 12 November 2007 (EST)
- Check out Oblivion:Battlehorn Castle (place) and Oblivion:Battlehorn Castle (quest), both of which are linked to from the Main New Content section of this article (Oblivion:Fighter's Stronghold). --GuildKnight (Talk) contribs 23:43, 12 November 2007 (EST)
Console update ate my Battlehorn :([edit]
I downloaded this content onto the 360 when it was free. Just today (Dec. 8/07) I downloaded and installed the latest 360 console software update (as dictated by Xbox LIVE). After rebooting Oblivion, and loading a save file, a message popped up asking me if I wanted to continue since the save file contained content that was "no longer available." To my disappointment, the map marker and Battlehorn quest (with that particular char I had not yet indulged the mod but had maxed it out with a separate char) had disappeared. I was just wondering if this had happened to other 360'ers, and/or if console updates have a habit of removing content in this way? --CharmSpell 22:02, 8 December 2007 (EST)
- Not sure what happened, but there was an update available for Oblivion that seemed to have fixed the problem...also, it turned out that the actual content did not disappear off the hard drive but somehow became uninstalled, and with no obvious way to reinstall it. So, there you go? :p --CharmSpell 23:53, 13 December 2007 (EST)
Unsafe containers?[edit]
Are there any unsafe containers that Battlehorn owners should know about? like the containers behind that secret wall in the private quarters, they look unsafe, cept maybe the boss level chest.
Yeah there is a lot of unsafe containers in the castle (i have lost a lot of things permantly) but i think almost all containers in the private quarters section is safe to store in. the ones you really need to worry about are the ones in the basement. if your not sure put something like an iron dagger in there, leave the area, then wait 3 days(74 hrs) Kingbaby 01:16, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Screwed[edit]
I just got screwed. For one I didn't hear about this when it came out and was available as a free download, and secondly I figured what the heck, I'd drop $1.89 on it. Thing is the installer doesn't support Vista. There was a disclaimer on the website, but it read in such a confusing manner that I didn't know if the installer didn't work on 64 bit Vista, or all Vista. Needless to say I'm pissed off and will never play any Bethesda game ever again. — Unsigned comment by 216.160.237.47 (talk)
- Have you checked our page on the problem? I'm running 64-bit Vista and have managed to install all the official mods. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 05:49, 14 April 2008 (EDT)
Go about your Business Command (Lost Guard)[edit]
I was taking one of the guards with me into the imperial city and clicked the go about your business command in the market district and headed into a shop to do some shopping.
Well when I came out of the shop he was gone and I have no idea where that npc went whether he goes back to the castle or just disappears into the game world somewhere. 122.109.252.43 10:28, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
- He'll walk back to Battlehorn Castle, which may take some time. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 12:47, 3 June 2008 (EDT)
Unless he gets killed on the way back.
Plugin Activated, but No Banana[edit]
I downloaded this on my Xbox 360 using a friend's wireless adapter. My GamerTag is configured for Xbox Live and all; I had just lost my own wireless adapter. Anyways, when I downloaded this and loaded up my save file the plugin doesn't work. Like, Dragonfire Castle isn't in the world, I don't get the rumors, none of that.
Do I need to update oblivion somehow, or do I always need to have a wireless adapter on my 360 to use downloaded content, or what? 70.138.167.143 22:16, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
Did you download the content from a different xbox that your current one? If so, the content is specific to that xbox and you need to re-download it to your current one (i had the same problem and thats what xbox tech support told me). ~Vash
Secret Treasure Vault? I don't think so.[edit]
After installing the download and looking around I discovered a couple of secret tunnels. There was a trapdoor leading to a picnic table and a book in a secret room that led to another secret door. That led to a couple of undead undead but still no sort of secret vault. After reading about it on UESP I spent an addtional ten hours looking at every square inch of wall and floor in the whole place and found nothing extra. At this point I do not believe there is any kind of vault in Battlehorn, secret or otherwise. This information must be false.68.149.251.64 00:07, 31 October 2008 (EDT)Murray B
- Sounds like you've missed a secret. See this. Besides, the vault is the room with the undead. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 01:45, 31 October 2008 (EDT)
-
- Still don't think there is a vault.
- Thanks Rpeh for letting me know there are only three secret doors to find. This saves me a lot of time. The page you mention indicates that the closet is "...small 'storage vault' with 3 chests..." The single quotes automatically show that it is not a vault at all. The grotto is also not a vault since I expect that 99 44/100% of fans would agree that a single chest does not a vault make. The site should indicate "secret storage closet" or "secret storage grotto" or even "secret storage area" to prevent confusion.
- Another thing I have found puzzling is how to start the quest. The literature indicates that there is a war and I am prepared for it but nobody comes. To get the place I had to fight four or five marauders and the bastards killed Kenny, my storm atronach. Pieces of poor Kenny are still lying all over the road a month later, but the war still hasn't started.68.149.251.64 19:07, 31 October 2008 (EDT)Murray B.

Battlehorn Castle Installation[edit]
I just got this from Bethsoft. if you are having difficulty installing the Battlehorn Castle addon, open your Windows task manager, go to "Process" and close the "cftmon.exe" process. Then you will be able to install the addon. (PC version only)Celestron 11:47, 8 November 2008 (EST)
- Umm... try checking the section on Installation Issues (which has a link in the infobox for every plugin), specifically the the part about "Hangs after activating". There's no need to repeat the information on every individual plugin page. --NepheleTalk 01:16, 11 November 2008 (EST)
For warriors?[edit]
Is this Plug-in best for a certain class like the others (Frostcrag Spire - mages), or is it really ok for anyone? --Oblivion nerd 12:35, 14 December 2008 (EST)
its really for nay class because it dosent have anything special to a type of class like to tower does
- Actually it is great for a warrior type character. The sparring partner lets you train your combat skills in a no danger environment. The vintner creates numerous wines that can be of great help, particularly the blac which heals 50 health; hugely powerful at lower levels.
- There is a smith for non armorer characters, as well as numerous sidekicks to watch you back; all of whom can be scavenged for equipment should they fall in battle. 174.0.252.150 22:39, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Are the Glass Display cases "safe" to store/display items?[edit]
Are the Glass Display cases "safe" to store/display items?Kmoore88 10:21, 10 February 2009 (EST)
Yea, they are/ I tested them for a few months (in game) and they didn't budge. However, my maid (Skjorta? whatever the spelling) keeps on walking into my display case in my bedroom and making the contents fall through the case...... Man i wish i could just kill her. ~Vash
- To elaborate on this, the display cases are not containers in the usual sense; the items are still outside rather than being in a container. Your items are as safe in those cases as they are if you just drop the items on the floor.
- And Skjorta? She's the alcoholic Nord proprietor of Bruma's clothes shop. The Battlehorn Castle maid is Rona Benanius. --Dalimyr(T ≈ C) 03:15, 21 March 2009 (EDT)
Is there a way to spawn more Battlehorn Men-At-Arms'?[edit]
I got one killed by Lucian Lachance (I thought it would be funny to attack him, and then get the guard to kill him, but Lucian won =/). So does anyone know if there's an actual NPC code to spawn one, or will he be back automatically? Thanks. (Edit: changed bloodhorn to battlehorn, got mixed up for some reason :s).
They respawn, but you have to buy another captain. Ninja Hinder 14:28, 17 February 2009 (EST)
Stealing Graphics?[edit]
After installing this plugin I've had many instances of missing graphics. The Chorrol gate; the floor of the Merchant's Inn second floor; the guilds in Bruma, are all gone and replaced by the missing graphic icon. I'm playing on the Xbox 360 so I didn't go in and delete the files. How can I fix this on the 360? Savas 15:50, 14 June 2009 (EDT)
- Your disk could be scratched, or your plugin corrupted. Try cleaning the disk and re-downloading Fighter's Stronghold. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 07:46, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Fighter's Stronghold DLC concern (PC)[edit]
I don't know if this is a concern of any "high-ups" (those who have been here longer than me and are far better at Wiki stuff), but the Fighter's Stronghold page needs updated. It needs to not say PC users can get the FS DLC from the link posted on the FS main page or have something in paranths to this extent. I am not entirely sure how to make the edit though, as i made such a major faux pas with the first Wiki edit i tried.
After finding NOTHING on any of the forums here, i quite literally spent days and hours online searching, and i have been unable to find an alternative to the option of downloading FS from the link at the Elder Scrolls pages which sends us to OblivionDownloads dot com (i'm not allowed to post the URL, which doesn't matter as it's useless anyway). That site, which is referenced on the FS main page as the place to get the FS DLC, has been down for a long time. A very long time it would seem. I was hoping through my research i would find some alternatives, or at least one, but i haven't. Bethesda has nothing in the way of DLC through online downloads concerning Oblivion. Direct2Drive isn't supported by Bethesda either (read the patch descriptions at: http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm) and doesn't offer the FS DLC. The long and short of it is, there is NO way to get the FS DLC for PC at this point in time.
I honestly have no clue about the Xbox information as i play Oblivion on my PC and PS3.
I would edit the FS main page myself, yet i worry i would step on someone's toes and or do it incorrectly. It simply needs updated. It's easy to let ourselves think we're the only people playing this game, us "old hats", yet we fail to realize there are also A LOT of newer players, who use this Wiki site almost like an Oblivion Bible of sorts. (Kanisuma 02:24, 8 September 2009 (UTC))
- I think you are right the article needs to be updated. I've tweaked the PC availability. As it stands now it is not possible to acquire the Fighter's Stronghold for the PC. (This is covered at Official Plug-ins). Personally, I suspect OblivionDownloads being down due to a failing integration of Oblivion in Games for Windows Live (as Fallout 3 plug-ins are distributed). --Timenn-<talk> 20:26, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Oblivion GOTY Deluxe question[edit]
Okay, so I have read above me that there is no way to get Fighter's Stronghold for the PC version of Oblivion in any way whatsoever. However, on the FS page it states that the plug-in is available via Stream's GOTY Deluxe version. So my question is: Is this availability unique to this particular site's version or is this ANY version of GOTY Deluxe?
I ask this because whenever I read what is included with this version of the game on any other site, those sites never list FS, and I would like to be sure before I make any purchasing decisions.
Also, while I am asking about FS, is the Deluxe version compatible with Vista? (I have the 32-bit OS is that is important.) Shadegirl07 02:20, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Considering the availability was added without any further commenting about it, I think the other sites may be correct. The only failsafe way to verify this is to actually obtain this version and see for yourself, but that's not ideal, considering you try to avoid wasting money. I've removed the availability for the moment, as it needs to be verified.
- As for the compatibility. It should run (i.e. I see no reason why not) on 32-bit Vista. Whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit OS is indeed important as these downloadable games often come with an encrypted executable, which (too) often only work on a 32-bit operating systems. --Timenn-<talk> 13:26, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
-
- Well thank you then. ^_^ That will definitely help in my decision making process. I'm still wondering if I should buy the PC version, so I'm debating about which version to buy (seeing as I do have the game on PS3). A friend has the regular game for $10 (just Oblivion with no Expansion or Plugins) that he is willing to sell me...but I am still a bit uncertain. We'll see since I do want to play with mods. Thanks again for the help. (Shadegirl07)

- It's my personal opinion, but I would strongly recommend the PC version, if you can run it. The addition of third party mods as well as the console (to fix the occasional bug) are very helpful. It's a shame about the current unavailability of the Fighter's Stronghold, though it's just a tiny part of the entire game. --Timenn-<talk> 13:42, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm. Now that you mention the mods, I'm sure that I could find something to compensate for the lack of FS now that I stop to think about it. ^^ I've got browsing to do then. Shadegirl07 19:52, 20 November 2009 (UTC)

Xbox Live questions[edit]
I have a few questions, first off how much Microsoft Points does Fighter's Stronghold, Wizard's Tower and Mehrunes' Razor cost, does the Patch to fix the Reference Bug cost any Microsoft Points, and do I have to be connected to Xbox Live to use these once I install them? I have to install them at my dad's office because my computer won't work with Live for some reason.
- In that order: The price in MP is listed here, although I think they took out mehrunes' razor from xbox live (I play on the xbox and have also tried to buy it but for some reason it doesn't appear in the download list), yes the automatically downloaded patch (latest version) fixes the reference bug as well as some other stuff and it is free, and no, once you have installed them you can run them without xbox live ;).--MC• S'drassa •T2M 01:36, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Another Xbox DLC question. If I downloaded the DLC for Oblivion, can another profile use it? So far, it seems that no others can, I was wondering if it is meant to.
Perma-Corpse Marauders[edit]
Are the Marauders perma-coprses? The pre-dead marauder and the pre-dead knight both disapeared, but its been mnay game days and their corpses ruin the scenery of my front door. Are they permenant? Kiutu 06:34, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Levelled Items at Proper Level/ Uninstalling Fighter's Stronghold[edit]
I downloaded this plug-in recently and love it, but I want to start a new file without the plug-in, and restore it later on so that I can get Lord Kelwyn's Bulwark and the Dragonsword at their highest levels. I don't know how to uninstall any DLC, but I have heard references to being able to temporarily move the download off of my machine. Can anybody tell me what I can do? RevanchistXJ3 01:08, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
Purchasing Upgrades Problem[edit]
I recently downloaded FS and killed the marauders and got to the point where I can Buy upgrades. The problem is only 8 out of 9 upgrades appear in the barter screen, and the one missing the Dwemer Forge! I tried deleting the DLC loading a game saving re-download the DLC and start the game again but the Forge is still missing! I searched the web to try and find someone with the same problem and/or a solution to it but I found nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? — Unsigned comment by 76.65.122.240 (talk)
- yes you need to buy atleast ONE upgrade before it's available. — Unsigned comment by 72.38.181.153 (talk)
For PC just go into the Data section in the Launcher and disable the plug-in, for xbox go to storage and uninstall it from there. I don't have a ps3 so I have no clue what to do about that.
Not regognizing dlc[edit]
okay, i bought the FS thing and played with that. i had EVERY upgrade and stuff, all my good weapons, armor etc. were in there. then for the hell of it i got the wizards tower. now everyone knows the bug where it deleteds the ownership for the mystic emporium. so i deleted it, bought all the stuff for the WT and re-downloaded it. When i went back in to play it, i loaded up my downloads and all it said were: wizards tower shivering isles knights of the nine but says no BHC. Can someone help me! otherwise that 150 ms points down the drain. (also its on x360)
Did you try re-downloading it? Are you on the xbl user you downloaded it with? Try bolth. It happened to me with the Wizards Tower and the Shivering Isles, my little bro was MAD お金のカウンター 16:09, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
cracks and crevices[edit]
I think that it is worth noting somewhere that battlehorn castle has a lot of places on the ground where things just fall right through. Like on the wall or the display cases. its happened to me multiple times and some of the stuff i lost permantly. Kingbaby 01:52, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- There are many, many places where this can happen and it's impossible to list them all. Merely saying that there are several such places in BC isn't going to be much help. rpeh •T•C•E• 10:27, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Moved Bug[edit]
-
- Playing Oblivion without Xbox Live will cause Battlehorn Castle to disappear, along with any followers and upgrades you had. Upon playing again WITH Xbox Live, you will have to do the entire quest all over again, and buy all the upgrades, etc. You will also lose all trophies and wines in the cellar.
That's not what's wrong. You see, the Xbox stores half of a license with the Xbox, and the other with the gamertag. If you play on a new Xbox with the same gamertag while offline, you won't be able to play your DLC. The reason I moved this is because:
1. I'm pretty sure this is already mentioned elsewhere
2. If it's not, it shouldn't just be listed here as it's a problem found with all of the DLC. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 20:38, 17 October 2011 (UTC)

Having trouble playing Fighter’s Stronghold on Xbox One[edit]
I recently started replaying Oblivion on my XBox One and I downloaded Fighter’s Stronghold after I was level 25. I installed it and everything, but it still hasn’t appeared in my game.
