Pillar Designs and Meanings

Do the designs/letters carved into the pillar mean anything? I think I can make out several letters, but they're a bit faded. There is also something that looks a lot like a design in there. An "L" followed by a curved pattern. Am I just seeing things in what's supposed to be a decorative carving? --Davehoekst 13:23 , 4 April 2008 (EST)

It's writing in the Dwemer Alphabet. To save you looking it up, the text on the pillar reads "Av latta magicka, av molag anyammis", which translates to "From light, magic; from fire, life". –Rpeh^{•T•C•E•} 13:42, 4 April 2008 (EDT)

Isn't It Ayleid?, i'm sure i heard that the Finger of the Mountain Spell was Ayleid therefore the pillar MUST be Ayleid too--VergilSparda 20:36, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

In Fact, it IS Ayleid because similar words are written in the Ayleid ruin Vahtacen--VergilSparda 20:38, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
