Befriending Enemies[edit]
I hope someone here can give me a definite answer on this. I'm trying to use 100% chameleon, charm spells, fortify personality potions and bribes to 'befriend' some enemies, specifically the Drothmeri from the Mehrunes Razor plugin. I want to roleplay being one of them. :) I am playing on the 360.
I become 100% chameleon and use various charm spells on the Drothmeri, ranging from 5 pts to 100 pts. If a certain spell doesn't work, I drink some fortify personality potions (dupe glitch for those). When I talk to a Drothmeri, their disposition is between 95 and 100. If it is below 100, I can bribe them up to 100. Then, it takes a weaker spell and less personality to talk to them again. If the spell/personality is too low, they attack and I have to restart.
So far, I have been unable to successfully befriend one of the Drothmeri (as in I can't take off my chameleon without them attacking). Since it is a tedious process, I am wondering if befriending an enemy is even possible! Has any testing with NPC's been done with this? I have been able to befriend the undercover members of the Mythic Dawn (e.g. Ulen Athram) so this leads me to believe that I can do it with enemies. Does it have something to do with aggression levels of NPCs?
Thanks to anyone who can give me an answer! Dio 225
- I can't give you a definitive answer but I don't believe it's possible. The closest you can come to this is with the Command Humanoid spell effect, but a) you might not be able to get a high enough level spell to affect the Drothmeri, and b) You'd have to keep casting it every so often. The undercover Mythic Dawn members are not enemies at the start of the game. After all, you're almost completely irrelevant at the start so why should they bother with you? After The Path of Dawn, when you've killed several of their members and stolen one of their valuable books they think of you as an enemy. After that, I doubt you'd be able to befriend them. - I was actually able to befriend the Mythic Dawn members after they become enemies (after completing the Path of Dawn) which led me to believe that I could also do it with necromancers, bandits etc. but have had no luck. I have had some success recently (can cast very low charm spells without personality boosts) but have not been able to 100% befriend either the Drothmeri or necromancers.

- I believe that the right combination of personality and bribes (with charm spells) will let you do it. Does Fame/Infamy have any influence over the disposition of your enemies? Thanks for the reply Rpeh! Dio 225 17:24, 14 June 2007 (EDT)
First, hello to everyone! my first message here... then, you can become friend of vampires, even if I'm testing it right now... do like this: create charm spells from 95, then scale it down(I.E. 90, 85, 80, ecc...) then talk to the vampire(or the enemy you want, but I have only tested this on vampires, and bandit will act like highway men asking you a fine)with the weapon unsheated, and bribe them. repeat this, but every time you do it once, go down by 5 points in charming...try this out on him, see if this work!
ehm....after 3 days, the enemy inside the caves has respawned, so it has been useless...this is the only problem, however.
I heard that if your bounty or infamy is over a certain amount, you can talk to a bandit, vapire or necromancer normally. Although unsheathing your blade will cause them to become hostile. I just heard this, I'm not sure if its true. Im going to try it tommorow.
- You can use the Grey Fox's Cowl of Nocturnal when going by a bandit and they will run up to you and say "As I live and breathe, the Grey Fox, it is an honor!" (I discovered this Yesterday), from there you can only ask them about Rumors as far as I know, but other than making Bandits friendly the Cowl will do nothing else to persuade NPC's, besides ticking off Guards and making people flip out on you. --Dremora Lord 04:01, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
As I know if a bandit is persuded or bribed if it doesn't die he will still be your friend after the cell reset(Vvardfell 12:41, 31 October 2010 (UTC))
