Oblivion talk:Bloodgrass
where is bloodgrass for a lvl 11? — Unsigned comment by 74.34.139.11 (talk)
- If you have started the main quest and gotten to kvatch then it is available at level 1.--Most Honored Listener 18:25, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
- The availability of bloodgrass is not level dependent. The article provides pretty detailed information on where to find Blood Grass plants. If you haven't gotten far enough in the main quest to enter Oblivion Gates then you'll have to get one of the two guaranteed samples or buy it from a merchant. --NepheleTalk 18:44, 27 July 2007 (EDT)
A lonely bloodgrass[edit]
While playing on the PS3 I came across a lonely bloodgrass in Tamriel. I checked the PC version (where I haven't done anything for the Mainquest) and I found it there as well. South of Fort Wooden Hand and Southeast of Gottlesfont Prioroy.Screenshot Diadu 20:32, 20 May 2009 (EDT)
- The bloodgrass was probably there due to the Oblivion Gate which opens nearby. Whether it is there before the gate opens or even after you have closed it, I don't know. --SerCenKing Talk 02:53, 21 May 2009 (EDT)
- There's at least one other case of gate-related items being visible without the gate - there's a rock on the cliff near Gweden Farm, overlooking Anvil Bay that's part of an Oblivion Gate but that is always visible. If there's a bloodgrass plant that's always present, it's probably worth noting on the article. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 03:19, 21 May 2009 (EDT)
- Well on my PS3 game, where I finished the Main Quest, there is no Gate near this place. And as far as I can tell (I could be wrong), all gates that spawned over the course of the Main Quest remain in place and can be found later in the game. Diadu 09:04, 21 May 2009 (EDT)
- Not all possible gates will ever appear though. The gate in question is this one, and there are two blood grass plants by it, one of which is covered by the mound of large rocks that are there if the gate doesn't appear. The other plant is indeed always accessible. –Rpeh•T•C•E• 13:00, 21 May 2009 (EDT)

- The map seemed a bit off to me, but you're right. I used the Gate commands and traveled to Gottlesfont Priory. So that could mean that there are more places where you can find Bloodgrass before starting the Main Quest? Diadu 14:36, 21 May 2009 (EDT)

- Between Belletor's Folly and the Troll Candle Camp(both south of Kvatch. I found some blood grass sticking up out of a rock the base somewhere inside it. I had yet to deliver the amulet of Jaffue. Making the existence of any oblivion gate aside from the one up north at Kvatch impossible.— Unsigned comment by 98.240.210.20 (talk) at 04:38 on 30 August 2009

Notabilty?[edit]
Is it worth mentioning that bloodgrass can provide Chameleon just by eating it, that there are gigantic samples of Blood Grass in some oblivion gates (in the Kavatch gate there are samples well over twice the height of the player), and the mysterious nature of how alchemists are able to obtain bloodgrass before the oblivion crisis, and how a sample got into the crypt of the night mother, which hasn't been opened in over 200 years? --70.184.239.162 15:35, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
