The sewer north of the Imperial City |
The North Tunnel is a medium-sized sewer north of the Imperial City containing bandits. It contains two zones, both of which have the same name: The North Tunnel and The North Tunnel.
Notes[edit]
- This sewer connects to the Imperial City Sewers - North Exit (the exit to Lake Rumare) and the Market Sewers (under the Market District). You must first pass two locked doors to access the Market Sewers: the northern entrance from the outside and a gate near the southern end of the first zone.
- As with most other sewers in the system, the sewer contains many crates, barrels, and sacks. However, only the containers marked on the maps have a chance of containing loot other than clutter.
Exterior[edit]
- The exterior is located on the shore of Lake Rumare, at coordinates: Tamriel 7, 19
- This location's map marker (M on map) is named Imperial City Sewers - North Exit (editor name IMPSEWMapMarker). The entrance door is S of the marker, 10 feet away.
- The entrance is locked with a leveled lock (average or harder).
- 1-3 Mud Crabs are near the entrance
- 1 Nirnroot is at location N on map
Zone 1: The North Tunnel[edit]
You will likely enter this zone through door Out. To progress, you will need to work your way south to door C. This will require opening a pair of gates (E and F) using the adjacent turn wheel (cyan dot on map), and opening the locked gate at G.
The only notable treasure in this zone is all in the northwest room: two boss chests (B) and a Nirnroot (N). Although the map seems to indicate you can access this room from the south, those two connections (grayed-out on map) are underwater tunnels that are too low to pass through. Therefore, the only way to access the boss chests is from the east, by opening gate D using the turn wheel (cyan dot) in the middle room of the three eastern rooms.
Occupants:
- 0-3 Bandit Enemies (each 50% probability melee , 25% archer Bandit, 12% Dog, 12% Nuisance Animal)
- 3 Nuisance Animals
- 3 Mud Crabs
Treasure:
- 1 Nirnroot at location N on map (semi-hidden in the sewer water next to a set of stairs)
- 1 boss-level Chest 01 (Bandit variety) at B
- 1 boss-level Chest 02 (Bandit variety; locked) at B
Doors and Gates:
- There are two doors in/out of this zone
- 1 door (at Out) leads outside to the Imperial City Sewers - North Exit
- 1 door (at C) leads to the second part of The North Tunnel
- 1 Gate at G (locked)
- 1 sewer Gate at D (opened by the turn wheel in the next room to the south (cyan dot))
- 2 sewer Gates at E and F (opened by the turn wheels on either side of the gates (cyan dots))
Other:
- 1 bedroll at location b on map
Zone 2: The North Tunnel[edit]
You will likely enter this zone at the north end, through door C. It is a straightforward path from there to the final room, containing both doors D and E into the Market Sewers. Door E must be used to fully explore the Market Sewers. There is no notable treasure in this zone.
Occupants:
- 0-3 Nuisance Animals
- 2-5 Mud Crabs
Doors and Gates:
- There are three doors in/out of this zone
- 1 door (at C) leads to the first part of The North Tunnel
- 2 doors (at D and E) lead to the adjacent sewer, The Market Sewers
- Door D is the lower-level door, but only provides access to a single room and one minor loot chest in The Market Sewers
- Door E is the upper-level door at the top of the stairs, and must be used to gain full access to The Market Sewers
