Morrowind talk:People in Balmora
Alas![edit]
I have found Hul; face down in the river. I gather I should have done RA in the Command Console much sooner, (it doesn't even move her corpse, now). That is, unless there is some quest concerning her that I've never encountered before, and no one has written about. Of course, the Hlaalu Guard on the bridge above her was suffering from severe SEP Syndrome.
Assuming that's what happened, I hadn't realized that these klutzes who fall in the drink could actually drown. I suppose I'm paying for this lesson inexpensively. If someone crucial to a quest should drown, that could be expensive to the outcome of my game, and undoubtedly the game would put a bounty on my head for the death, if I actually witnessed the drowning. - The irony of an Argonian dying by drowining... Well, they didn't gain permanent Waterbreathing until Oblivion, so I guess it makes sense. (Of course at least in Skyrim, no NPC can ever drown even without Waterbreathing. They just automatically surface instead.) Anyhow, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't gain a bounty for this. I remember seeing NPCs killed by Cliff Racers or Kagouti that I dragged into town with me, and I never got a bounty for that. You'd actually have to hit the NPCs yourself to get any blame in the matter. One common trick I remember people doing was to lure every guard in Balmora into the river. Once done, they will never leave, and you can pretty much do whatever you want in the city without fear of guards. Kind of a cheap trick, but it works. Only in Balmora, though. Because of the design of the city, there's no way to get out of the river without leaving town. I think you can do something similar in Vivec, but they'll eventually find the gondolier docks and make their way back to their regular rounds. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 13:31, 23 March 2013 (GMT)

- I'll admit that I'm overly-paranoid about law enforcement in Morrowind after several of my PCs in a row encountered a trap that I call the Ald Velothi Bartering Hazard. Downstrike (talk) 03:14, 24 March 2013 (GMT)
