Magnus/Magus[edit]

Concerning the article on Magnus/Magus, it is mentioned in _Morrowind_ that the stars were created by lesser Aedra/spirits who chose to follow the afore mentioned. I am simply wondering which it is. 174.23.26.228 05:35, 10 October 2009 (UTC) J

The article appears to be incorrect. The hole Magnus made is the sun, while the stars mark egress of lesser follower spirits, the Magna Ge (Children of Magnus).Temple-Zero 05:40, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the clarification and article fix. 174.23.26.228 06:34, 10 October 2009 (UTC)J
Where exactly is all this stated?--TheLastSwordSinger 22:40, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
I mean the part about him creating the Sun--TheLastSwordSinger 05:37, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
No idea. All this needs references. rpeh •TCE 09:14, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

Mannimarco[edit]

Shouldn't Mannimarco be listed following his ascent to godhood at the end of Daggerfall?--Tovenam 22:13, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I think that would be appropriate. After all, the Necromancer's Moon is his celestial body, proving that he has become similar to the Aedra. Legoless 22:20, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
The problem is that none of this is ever proven to be correct. Some of it is speculation on the part of scholars and the like. This is further complicated by the Warp in the West event, which apparently altered time and space to allow for multiple different events occurring impossibly together. After the Warp, the only known encounter was with a Necromancer leading the Cult and calling himself Mannimarco. --DKong27 Talk Cont 22:28, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
It's all speculation within the lore of TES. There is no proof that he ever did become a god. Elliot (talk) 03:06, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
See Necromancer's Moon. The Order of the Black Worm confirms he has ascended, and causes the Shade of the Revenant by "hiding" Arkay in the night sky. Even if it's only speculation over the technicalities, it's clear that he has worshippers in the form of the Order. That usually counts as Godhood. Legoless 15:59, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
Also look at The Path of Transcendence, which talks about a 'Sovereign' who answered the necromancer's prayers - almost certainly Mannimarco. Legoless 20:53, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Mountain Fart?[edit]

Can someone please show me the source for Mauloch's title? It's extremely bizarre, and I can't find any reference to it. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 19:03, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

The only other page on this wiki or on TIL that I could find which mentions "Mountain Fart" is this page. I don't know where they got the term, but I don't think that page itself is sufficient corroboration. Unless a more legit source can be provided, maybe some dialogue from one of the games, I don't think we should keep it. Minor Edits 03:03, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
After some discussion with Lady Nerevar, who consulted Michael Kirkbride, MK claims to have come up with the name. A twelve year mystery, answered. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 06:03, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
Edit: Specific source: mouse.net, go to March 2001, varieties of faith, then go to Skyrim. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 06:33, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
To be honest, him just coming up with the name without it appearing in any official material and having no real lore worth to consider the addition of an OOG tag worth it, I think we should just remove it. Jeancey (talk) 07:26, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
It now appears in official material. ESO added it in. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 08:35, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
Specifically in Lore:Varieties of Faith: The Nords. --Jimeee (talk) 09:44, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

Morihaus[edit]

The Song of Pelinal v2 attributes Morihaus with having wings and flying. It doesn't seem inconceivable that it would be a dragon with forward pointing horns. — Unsigned comment by 174.126.111.82 (talk) at 01:56 on 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Mystara[edit]

There's a line from beggars in Oblivion saying "Blessings of Mystara upon ye". This is an easter egg to a D&D campaign setting of the same name. Despite its nature as an easter egg, I think it should still be included. However, I figured I'd bring it up here before adding it in case there's opposition. Mindtrait0r (talk) 18:57, 12 September 2024 (UTC)

I agree, while it is 100% a reference Easter Egg, it's not out of the way in normal gameplay and you can actually hear it quite often. Other Easter eggs are mentioned in Lorespace when relevant. I think it should be on the list -Tarponpet (talk) 19:06, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
I’ve stated the same on discord and such for a long time now. There’s alot of references to various media in tes that are still lore pertinent. Mystara should be documented. Dcking20 (talk) 20:00, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
Agreed as well. Whether or not it is a nod or easter egg it is still in-universe nod.Tyrvarion (talk) 01:33, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
