The Reticulated Spine is a region located in northern Shadowfen and is on the border of the province of Black Marsh. To the north is the region of Lagomere in Deshaan, to the south is the region of Venomous Fens, and to the southeast is the region of Leafwater.[1]

The city of Stormhold is based on the northern river, built on the site of an Ayleid ruin.[2] Stillrise Village was one of the last Kothringi settlements to survive after the Knahaten Flu.[3][4] The ruins of Ten-Maur-Wolk were once built by the Dunmer for the Daedric Prince, Boethiah, but it was abandoned sometime later.[5] Bogmother was an ancient temple settlement[6] but was later abandoned and inhabited by dreugh.[7]
