Lore:Lainlyn (family)
The Lainlyn family is a Redguard clan and the namesake of the eponymous city-state and later barony.[1] While their political affiliation is never stated, the Lainlyn settlement is historically associated with the Crowns.[2]
In his time, Jamshald Lainlyn was a talented artist and in 2E 102, he created the Ansei Shrine, a set of three statues that depict the Anseis; Halelah, Maja, and Radan, who sacrificed themselves to become the Ansei Wards. It was commemorated to Ansei Maja, who was born in Tava's Blessing back in the First Era.[3][4]
Around the time King Fahara'jad took the throne in Sentinel, Tava's Blessing's master shipwright was Curly Lainlyn. The King ordered the shipyards to build all vessels to a consistent standard, and so Curly Lainlyn wrote the book, "Strakes and Futtocks" to detail the process for shipwrights.[5] By 2E 582, Curly Lainlyn was replaced by Sulim.[6]
