Lore:Keel Cutters
The Keel Cutters were a pirate slaver group primarily led by the Maormer.[1][2][3] Aside from the Maormer,[2][3][4] their ranks also included members from various other races, such as Nords,[5] Orcs,[6][7][8] and Redguards.[9][10] They were active in Hew's Bane during the Three Banners War.[11][12]
History[edit]
At a certain point, the Keel Cutters launched an attack on the shores of Hew's Bane and established Thrall Cove as a landing site on the western coast of Hew's Bane.[11]. In the year 2E 582, they were under the leadership of Captain Virindi Slave-Taker, a formidable mage specializing in storm magic.[2]
During that period, a sea captain hailing from Abah's Landing suffered the loss of both his cherished spyglass and his entire crew to Maormer slavers at Thrall Cove. An adventurer was hired by Spencer Rye, an associate of the local Thieves Guild, to retrieve the lost spyglass and free the slaves. The adventurer successfully accomplished these tasks and received their rewards. The captives were safely returned to Abah's Landing.[1][12][13]
