—Kinlady Iniel[1]

Kinlady Iniel was the leader of the Corelanya Clan of Hammerfell Altmer. She was a warrior skilled in combat and also capable of wielding lightning magic, and fought against the Yokudan colonists.[1][2]

History[edit]

Ash'abah Pass

Little is known of Iniel's past. She led the Corelanya Clan during the ninth century of the First Era.[1][3] At that time, they resided in Yath, along with other locations in Hammerfell such as Salas En.[4]

In 1E 808 the warrior wave of Yokudans, known as the Ra Gada, landed on the shores of Hammerfell.[5] With the wars against the Lefthanded Elves in Yokuda still fresh in their minds, they set out to eradicate the Corelanya Elves wherever they found them.[6] A Yokudan colony from the island of Yath was largely responsible for the attacks on the Corelanya, eventually displacing them from the site.[4]

By 1E 853, the Yokudans were led by King Xakhwan, who in a final push to drive the Corelanya from Hammerfell, sent his two sons to kill their leader.[3] Prince Haqmir and Sameer led the charge into a valley known as the Ash'abah Pass, and killed Iniel during the battle. However, she tricked them.[1][2] The Corelanya deceived the Yokudans into leaving King Xakhwan vulnerable. She had one of her necromancers Venerien infiltrate the king's palace, kill him, and then reanimate his corpse to use against the Yokudans.[2][7][8]
