- "We children of the sap recognize many great heroes: Elthonor the Barkborn, the Many-Tales Wolf, Fildunor Boughbrow, and others. But no hero, living or dead, rivals the glory of Z'en's avenger, the Ghost of the Green." — The Ghost of the Green
The Ghost of the Green was a Bosmeri hero and vigilante active throughout the 5th century of the Second Era.[1] He was an assassin that smote the enemies of the Green. When the Bosmer sacrificed deer hearts and boar tusks to him, an execution would soon follow.[2] He always left behind a fern frond on the bodies of his targets, and always struck with a razor-sharp Wood Elf arrow.[2][1]
History[edit]
In the fifth century of the Second Era, the Ghost of the Green was a Bosmeri assassin that would slay the enemies of the Green. He was dressed in green leathers and a frightful skull. Killing with his bow, it was said that no one could escape his wrath.[2] He was eventually apprehended by the Altmeri pair of jurisreeve's, Lorne and Soravil.[1] Decades later, the Ghost of the Green would apparently return and start killing once more, though in actuality this was an imposter.[3]
