Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational technology company involved in computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, video games, and related services. Its video game publisher division is Microsoft Gaming.
ZeniMax Media announced a takeover by Microsoft on September 21, 2020. Microsoft and Zenimax announced that the acquisition was complete on March 9, 2021 and that ZeniMax had become part of the Xbox Game Studios group.[1][2] Initially, this meant that Zenimax was briefly absorbed under the Xbox Game Studios banner in the company's corporate structure, until further reorganization into the new Microsoft Gaming division put ZeniMax on equal standing with Xbox Game Studios and Activision Blizzard.
