Sir Farienr Magitte

Sir Farienr Magitte is a Breton knight of the Order of the Albatross who can be found on the roads of High Isle.

Dialogue[edit]

When you approach him:

Sir Farienr Magitte: "Are you interested in tales of valor? My courage has taken me throughout the Archipelago. Let me entertain you a moment."

Speaking to him:

"I follow the Order of the Albatross. Hmm. I see you have the heart of an adventurer.
Still, the knights of my order are known for their daring deeds and travels. And while I may be young, I've experienced my fair share of danger."
What sort of danger?
"Horrible monsters, whose very skin oozed molten rock. Or perhaps you'd prefer the melancholy tale of the undead looking for a way to escape the walls of a keep. Hmm I can tell you'd prefer the mystery of a hospital where the patients get sicker."
Tell me about the monsters.
"Ah yes, there's a cave on High Isle which is filled with roving packs of vulk'esh. The creatures are so great that their footsteps shake the earth.
I stood atop the mountain and felt the blistering heat on my face. No mortal could survive there."
Are you talking about the Firepot?. (Available if you completed Scalding Scavengers)
"Oh, so you've heard of it?
Well - well then you must be suitably impressed at my bravery. I stood closer to those rivers of flame than any other."
I went inside the cave and collected the vulk'esh's scoria.
"You ventured inside the Firepot cave? And collected cast off rock from the vulk'esh?
I - I must bow to your tale. It's far superior to mine."
Tell me about the undead in their keep.
"Ruins of former knightly orders litter the archipelago. But this particular knightly order didn't die with their bodies.
I journeyed to the keep and heard voices of the dead emanating from the very ground. They sounded lively for ones so long gone."
The voice probably belonged to Sir Nathain Galien. (Available if you completed In Secret and Shadow)
"How could you know that? Do you mean to tell me that you've been to Death's Valor Keep and spoken to the skull yourself?"
I helped him keep the knights of Death's Valor trapped.
"You did all that?
I must confess I was not so brave as to step within the walls. Seeing one undead knight - even if it was just his skull - was enough for me. I wish I had your courage, my friend."
What's this about a hospital?
"When Lord Bacaro accepted soldiers from every alliance in his hospital, I thought it was for the best. But that was before the soldiers lost their minds.
I was in there but for a few hours before I felt I was losing the very essence of myself."
The soldiers' illness wasn't contagious. (Available if you completed An Experiment with Peace)
"How could you know that? Unless … you're the one who put a stop to it. I heard the soldiers were beginning to recover from their harrowing ordeals.
If that's the case, then I must concede to your expertise. You're more the knight than I."
